FCRSPCA Partners with Glove Theatre

Youth Internship Program, R.A.S.E. Collaborates with Theater for a Unique Experience

[Gloversville, NY, March 11, 2024] – Fulton County Regional SPCA, in partnership with The Glove Theatre, is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration that merges education, entertainment, and compassion. On Sunday, March 17th, children and families are invited to participate in a mock adoption clinic, “Adopt-a-Plushie”, hosted by Fulton County Regional SPCA Junior Interns.

The event will take place at The Glove Theatre, located at 42 North Main Street, in Gloversville, NY, from 12pm – 1:45pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on experience resembling a real-life adoption clinic. Children will be able to choose a stuffed animal companion, complete a brief interview with a SPCA Junior Intern, and take their new “pet” home with them.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to bring R.A.S.E. and its mission to our young citizens, to such large audience. It is wonderful to be working with the Glove Theatre as they continue to champion for arts in our community,” said Bobbi Jo Etherton-Haverly, FCRSPCA’s Education Coordinator. “Our internship program aims to give a comprehensive introduction to the work that goes into making FCRSPCA successful. Conneting with our community of supporters and giving back is a pivotal part of that success.”

Following the mock adoption clinic, attendees will enjoy a special screening of All Dogs go to Heaven, a heartwarming tale about a group of pups and their adventures together. This family friendly movie highlights a lesson in love, friendship, and animal companionship.

“We are really excited to partner with FCRSPCA on this fun event,” notes Kathleen Perrot, The Glove Theatre’s Board President and Fundraising Chair. “A key to the Glove’s mission is to nurture strong relationships with community-wide collaborators. The Glove is honored to be partnering with Regional to host this free, family-friendly event in our venue and we look forward to partnering on more events in the very near future.”

Pre-registration for the event is not required, however adoptable plushies will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis, so it is recommended that you and your child arrive when the event begins.
